Fight The Good Fight

Romans 13:11-14
New King James Version (NKJV)

And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.

  The best commentary on The Word comes from The Word itself. Whether you want to cross reference different scriptures on the same subject or spiritual truth, or read several different translations of a scripture, The Word is always the best commentary of itself.

I found these variations of scripture to be anointed today. The first is a translation I have never read before.

I like it for these verses.

Ephesians 6:10-12
The Voice (VOICE)

Finally, brothers and sisters, draw your strength and might from God. Put on the full armor of God to protect yourselves from the devil and his evil schemes. We’re not waging war against enemies of flesh and blood alone. No, this fight is against tyrants, against authorities, against supernatural powers and demon princes that slither in the darkness of this world, and against wicked spiritual armies that lurk about in heavenly places.

Ephesians 6:10-12
Common English Bible (CEB)

Finally, be strengthened by the Lord and his powerful strength. Put on God’s armor so that you can make a stand against the tricks of the devil. We aren’t fighting against human enemies but against rulers, authorities, forces of cosmic darkness, and spiritual powers of evil in the heavens

Ephesians 6:10-12
Amplified Bible (AMP)

In conclusion, be strong in the Lord [be empowered through your union with Him]; draw your strength from Him [that strength which His boundless might provides].

Put on God’s whole armor [the armor of a heavy-armed soldier which God supplies], that you may be able successfully to stand up against [all] the strategies and the deceits of the devil.

For we are not wrestling with flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the despotisms, against the powers, against [the master spirits who are] the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spirit forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) sphere.

1 Peter 5:8
The Voice (VOICE)

Most importantly, be disciplined and stay on guard. Your enemy the devil is prowling around outside like a roaring lion, just waiting and hoping for the chance to devour someone.

1 Peter 5:8
Common English Bible (CEB)

Be clearheaded. Keep alert. Your accuser, the devil, is on the prowl like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.

1 Peter 5:8
Amplified Bible (AMP)

Be well balanced (temperate, sober of mind), be vigilant and cautious at all times; for that enemy of yours, the devil, roams around like a lion roaring [in fierce hunger], seeking someone to seize upon and devour.

James 4:7
The Voice (VOICE)

So submit yourselves to the one true God and fight against the devil and his schemes. If you do, he will run away in failure.

James 4:7
Common English Bible (CEB)

Therefore, submit to God. Resist the devil, and he will run away from you.

James 4:7
Amplified Bible (AMP)

So be subject to God. Resist the devil [stand firm against him], and he will flee from you.

Jeremiah 46:3-4
The Voice (VOICE)

Eternal One: Line up your shields, large and small.
March toward the battle!

Harness your horses; mount your stallions!

Get in position; put your helmets on!
Polish your spears; put on your armor!

Jeremiah 46:3-4
Common English Bible (CEB)

Grab your shields
and prepare for war!

Saddle the horses;
mount the stallions!

Take your positions
with helmets on!

Polish your spears;
put on your armor!

Jeremiah 46:3-4
Amplified Bible (AMP)

Put in order the buckler and shield, and advance for battle!

Harness the horses, and mount, you horsemen! Stand forth with your helmets! Polish the spears, put on the coats of mail!

Be Steadfast and Loyal.....

The Word Steadfast has been ringing on my heart, like a song you cant get out of your head.

I am not talking about a steadfastness that comes from human endeavors or a work of pure endurance, but a steadfastness and a loyalty that comes only from The Spirit of God in us!

Another word that comes to my heart is Resolute.

Please hear what The Lord is saying to His people. His voice in us and through us are of the utmost importance.

No longer can we say, we must prepare for the last days, or this will be important in the days ahead.

The voice of The Lord is needed now! All He has given us and prepared us for, is being called into action now.

Don't shrink back.

Today is The Day to be steadfast, immovable, resolute!
Today is The Day to act!
Today is The Day to give all!
Today is The Day to declare!
Today is The Day to love!

I believe as you read these scripture, you will hear the voice of The Lord and His voice will cause a change in you. Let His voice shake out of you all that competes with His Voice. Let His Voice push out the voice of doubt, unbelief, fear,anger, apathy.

Let His Voice break the cedars in your soul and cause your spirit to give birth to His Plan in your life!

Then only speak what you hear His Voice saying!!

Steadfast:

1 : firmly fixed in place : immovable : not subject to change
2: firm in belief, determination, or adherence : loyal

Resolute:

1: marked by firm determination : resolved
2: bold, steady

One More

Circumspectly :

careful to consider all circumstances and possible consequences : prudent

Psalm 51:10
Amplified Bible (AMP)

Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right, persevering, and steadfast spirit within me.

Psalm 112:7
Amplified Bible (AMP)

He shall not be afraid of evil tidings; his heart is firmly fixed, trusting (leaning on and being confident) in the Lord.

Daniel 6:26
Amplified Bible (AMP)

I make a decree that in all my royal dominion men must tremble and fear before the God of Daniel, for He is the living God, enduring and steadfast forever, and His kingdom shall not be destroyed and His dominion shall be even to the end [of the world].

Acts 2:42
Amplified Bible (AMP)

And they steadfastly persevered, devoting themselves constantly to the instruction and fellowship of the apostles, to the breaking of bread [including the Lord’s Supper] and prayers.

Romans 12:9-13
New King James Version (NKJV)

Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good. Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another;not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer; distributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality.

1 Corinthians 15:58
New King James Version (NKJV)

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

1 Corinthians 15:58
New Living Translation (NLT)

So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.

1 Corinthians 15:58
New International Version (NIV)

Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

Ephesians 5:1-17

New King James Version (NKJV)

Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.

But fornication and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as is fitting for saints; neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks. For this you know, that no fornicator, unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.

Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. Therefore do not be partakers with them.

For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), finding out what is acceptable to the Lord. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret. But all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light. Therefore He says:

“Awake, you who sleep,
Arise from the dead,
And Christ will give you light.”

 See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.

Colossians 1:21-23
New King James Version (NKJV)

And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight—if indeed you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel which you heard, which was preached to every creature under heaven, of which I, Paul, became a minister.

Hebrews 3:12-15
New King James Version (NKJV)

Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God; but exhort one another daily, while it is called “Today,” lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. For we have become partakers of Christ if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end,while it is said:

“Today, if you will hear His voice,
Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion.”

1 Peter 5:8-9
New King James Version (NKJV)

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.

2 Peter 3:10-18
New King James Version (NKJV)

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.

Therefore, beloved, looking forward to these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless; and consider that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation—as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him, has written to you, as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which untaught and unstable people twist to their own destruction, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures.

You therefore, beloved, since you know this beforehand, beware lest you also fall from your own steadfastness, being led away with the error of the wicked; but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.

Psalm 29
New King James Version (NKJV)

Praise to God in His Holiness and Majesty

Give unto the Lord, O you mighty ones,
Give unto the Lord glory and strength.

Give unto the Lord the glory due to His name;
Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.

The voice of the Lord is over the waters;
The God of glory thunders;
The Lord is over many waters.

The voice of the Lord is powerful;
The voice of the Lord is full of majesty.

The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars,
Yes, the Lord splinters the cedars of Lebanon.

He makes them also skip like a calf,
Lebanon and Sirion like a young wild ox.

The voice of the Lord divides the flames of fire.
The voice of the Lord shakes the wilderness;
The Lord shakes the Wilderness of Kadesh.

The voice of the Lord makes the deer give birth,
And strips the forests bare;
And in His temple everyone says, “Glory!”

The Lord sat enthroned at the Flood,
And the Lord sits as King forever.

The Lord will give strength to His people;
The Lord will bless His people with peace.

Deep Darkness Upon The People

  T he Lord is faithful! He sees it all and still chooses to Love His Children. Imagine if we did the same to the fallen and broken.  We see...
