The FULL Gospel Day 9

Do you ever wonder why The Body of Christ seems to be spotty in it’s' attempts to maintain a "Move of God"? There have been many things said and taught about this, I will try and avoid all the controversy that comes with such a debate.

The Lord has been speaking to my heart the last couple of days. He was highlighting different mindsets and truths to me. I picked up a conversation between 3 older ladies while selling balloons at a festival in Carthage, NY, a small town about an hour and a half from where I live. I found myself listening to this conversation how a picture makes them look, how we don’t see ourselves in mirror the way a picture reveals us to be.

Then again today my Pastor touched on this also in Church. This evening I filled out a survey that had questions of this same theme. So I have to ask myself what is The Lord speaking to me, but I know He wants me to touch on it here also.

One of my favorite quotes about this nation that speaks loudly to me as a warning to this nation when I run across it is by Frederick Douglass:

"America is false to the past, false to the present, and solemnly binds herself to be false to the future"

He also is quoted as saying:

"The life of the nation is secure only while the nation is honest, truthful, and virtuous."

“Between the Christianity of this land, and the Christianity of Christ, I recognize the widest possible difference.”

Let those quotes sink in. Fredrick Douglas was a Godly Man. He in some ways had a prophetic voice to the nation as it tried to break free from slavery and oppression. In many of his quotes you can hear the warnings of what was being allowed to linger, what shadows of hatred and foolishness were being allowed to hover over the society and his people.

I want to think about The Church. Her Past, Her Present and Her Future.

Have we really left behind the traditions that poisoned The Church and removed the manifest presence of God, so that she was a shell of her former glory?

Do we really believe that Jesus is returning soon?

Are we being honest about our past?

Our Present?

Are we binding ourselves to a false future?

These are the questions we must ask before we build anymore multi-million dollar facilities. Before we invest millions in long term future plans. At least answer this question:

Are we binding ourselves to a false future?

The WORD is very clear about some things concerning the Last Days. Very clear about the condition of The World, the Church and the things that will try and infiltrate The Church.

Are we taking seriously these warnings and prophecies?

Do our daily decisions and long term plans reflect the Prophetic Word?

Are we planning, spending, training, equipping in our Churches to prepare for these things
as much as we are spending, training, equipping and preparing our multi-media ministries, or creative ministries, or for fancy gadgets and cool distractions like at a Rock Concert??

Are we building Luxury Cruise Ships or Strong Battle and Supply Ships?

These are serious questions, with serious consequences, if not answered honestly and with much thought.

Psalm 9
New Living Translation (NLT)

I will praise you, Lord, with all my heart;
I will tell of all the marvelous things you have done.

I will be filled with joy because of you.
I will sing praises to your name, O Most High.

My enemies retreated;
they staggered and died when you appeared.

For you have judged in my favor;
from your throne you have judged with fairness.

You have rebuked the nations and destroyed the wicked;
you have erased their names forever.

The enemy is finished, in endless ruins;
the cities you uprooted are now forgotten.

But the Lord reigns forever,
executing judgment from his throne.

He will judge the world with justice
and rule the nations with fairness.

The Lord is a shelter for the oppressed,
a refuge in times of trouble.

Those who know your name trust in you,
for you, O Lord, do not abandon those who search for you.

Sing praises to the Lord who reigns in Jerusalem.
Tell the world about his unforgettable deeds.

For he who avenges murder cares for the helpless.
He does not ignore the cries of those who suffer.

Lord, have mercy on me.
See how my enemies torment me.
Snatch me back from the jaws of death.

Save me so I can praise you publicly at Jerusalem’s gates,
so I can rejoice that you have rescued me.

The nations have fallen into the pit they dug for others.
Their own feet have been caught in the trap they set.

The Lord is known for his justice.
The wicked are trapped by their own deeds.
The wicked will go down to the grave.
This is the fate of all the nations who ignore God.

But the needy will not be ignored forever;
the hopes of the poor will not always be crushed.

Arise, O Lord!
Do not let mere mortals defy you!

Judge the nations!

Make them tremble in fear, O Lord.
Let the nations know they are merely human.

Psalm 10
Passion Translation{5 Fold Media Dr. Brian Simmons}

Lord, you seem so far away! Why do you stand so far off

As though you don't care?
Why have You hidden Yourself when I need You the most?

All this time the arrogant in their elitist pride
Erupt with persecution against the poor and helpless.
May you pour out upon them
The very evil they planned against others.

How they brag and boast of their cravings, exalting the greedy.
They congratulate themselves as they despise God.

These arrogant ones, so smug and secure
In their plots and plans, they reassure themselves by saying:

"There is no God. There is no need of Him.
There is nothing to worry about!
Our wealth will last for all time"

So seemingly successful are they in their schemes,
Prosperous in all their plans and scoffing at any restraint.

Yet all this time they are unaware of His anger:
Not understanding that their day of judgment is ahead.
The Exalted God they deny will soon declare their doom!

They boast that neither God nor men will bring them down.
They sneer at all their enemies, saying in their hearts

"We'll have success in all we do and never have to face trouble"

Yet all the time not knowing that they speak this in vain.
Their mouth spout out cursing, lies, and threats.
Only trouble and turmoil comes from all their plans.

Like lions lurking in the shadow of the city,
They crouch silently in ambush for the people to pass by;
They pounce on the poor and catch them in their snare,
They murder their prey in secret!
They plunder their victims presuming them all as inferior.

They crush the lowly, falling beneath their brutal blows,
As their victims collapse in defeat!

Then they say to themselves,

"The Lofty One is not watching while we do this,
We can get away with it!"

Now is the time to arise O Lord! Crush them once and for all!
Don’t forget the forgotten and helpless.

How dare the wicked think they will escape in their evil,
Believing that You would not call them to account for all their ways!

Lord, I know that You see all that they're doing,
Noting their each and every deed.
You know the trouble and turmoil they've caused.

Now punish them thoroughly for all that they've done!

The poor and the helpless ones trust in You Lord,
For you are famous for being the Helper of the fatherless.
I know you won’t let them down.

Break the power of the wicked, and their arms of strength.
Search them out and destroy them for the wickedness they have done

You, Lord, are King forever and ever!
You will see all the nations perish from off Your land

Lord, You know and understand all the hopes of the humble
And will hear their cries and comfort their hearts, helping them all!

The Orphans and The Oppressed will be terrified NO LONGER,
For You will BRING THEM JUSTICE

And no one will trouble them!

All rise! For God now stands up to judge
As He convenes heaven's courtroom!

He judges the judges and rules over the rulers! Saying

"How long will you judges refuse to listen to the voice of True Justice
And continue to corrrupt what is right
By judging in favor of the wrong?

Defend the defenseless, the fatherless and the forgotten,
The disenfranchised and the destitute.

Your duty is to deliver the poor and the powerless;
Liberate them from the grasp of the wicked.

But you continue in your darkness and ignorance
While the foundations of society are shaken to the core

Didnt I commission you as judges saying,

"You are all like gods since you judge on my behalf.
You are all like sons of The Most High, My representatives.
(See Mark 16:15-20 and Matthew 16:13-20)

Nevertheless, in death you are nothing but mere men!
You will be laid in the ground like any prince and you will die."

All arise! For God now takes His place as Judge of ALL THE EARTH!
Dont you know that everything and everyone belongs to Him?

The nations will be sifted IN HIS HANDS!

Isaiah 24

New King James Version (NKJV)

Impending Judgment on the Earth

Behold, the Lord makes the earth empty and makes it waste,
Distorts its surface
And scatters abroad its inhabitants.

And it shall be:
As with the people, so with the priest;
As with the servant, so with his master;
As with the maid, so with her mistress;
As with the buyer, so with the seller;
As with the lender, so with the borrower;
As with the creditor, so with the debtor.

The land shall be entirely emptied and utterly plundered,
For the Lord has spoken this word.

The earth mourns and fades away,
The world languishes and fades away;
The haughty people of the earth languish.

The earth is also defiled under its inhabitants,
Because they have transgressed the laws,
Changed the ordinance,
Broken the everlasting covenant.

Therefore the curse has devoured the earth,
And those who dwell in it are desolate.

Therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned,
And few men are left.

The new wine fails, the vine languishes,
All the merry-hearted sigh.

The mirth of the tambourine ceases,
The noise of the jubilant ends,
The joy of the harp ceases.

They shall not drink wine with a song;
Strong drink is bitter to those who drink it.

The city of confusion is broken down;
Every house is shut up, so that none may go in.

There is a cry for wine in the streets,
All joy is darkened,
The mirth of the land is gone.

In the city desolation is left,
And the gate is stricken with destruction.

When it shall be thus in the midst of the land among the people,
It shall be like the shaking of an olive tree,
Like the gleaning of grapes when the vintage is done.

They shall lift up their voice, they shall sing;
For the majesty of the Lord
They shall cry aloud from the sea.

Therefore glorify the Lord in the dawning light,
The name of the Lord God of Israel in the coastlands of the sea.

From the ends of the earth we have heard songs:

“Glory to the righteous!”
But I said, “I am ruined, ruined!
Woe to me!

The treacherous dealers have dealt treacherously,
Indeed, the treacherous dealers have dealt very treacherously.”

Fear and the pit and the snare
Are upon you, O inhabitant of the earth.

And it shall be
That he who flees from the noise of the fear
Shall fall into the pit,

And he who comes up from the midst of the pit
Shall be caught in the snare;

For the windows from on high are open,
And the foundations of the earth are shaken.

The earth is violently broken,
The earth is split open,
The earth is shaken exceedingly.

The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard,
And shall totter like a hut;
Its transgression shall be heavy upon it,
And it will fall, and not rise again.

It shall come to pass in that day
That the Lord will punish on high the host of exalted ones,
And on the earth the kings of the earth.

They will be gathered together,
As prisoners are gathered in the pit,

And will be shut up in the prison;
After many days they will be punished.

Then the moon will be disgraced
And the sun ashamed;

For the Lord of hosts will reign
On Mount Zion and in Jerusalem
And before His elders, gloriously.
