How To Take Back What The Enemy Has Stolen; Our Potential

Matthew 10:1 (NLT)

Jesus called his twelve disciples together and gave them authority to cast out evil spirits and to heal every kind of disease and illness.

Matthew 9:18-38 (NLT)

18 As Jesus was saying this, the leader of a synagogue came and knelt before him. “My daughter has just died,” he said, “but you can bring her back to life again if you just come and lay your hand on her.”

19 So Jesus and his disciples got up and went with him. 20 Just then a woman who had suffered for twelve years with constant bleeding came up behind him. She touched the fringe of his robe, 21 for she thought, “If I can just touch his robe, I will be healed.”

22 Jesus turned around, and when he saw her he said, “Daughter, be encouraged! Your faith has made you well.” And the woman was healed at that moment.

23 When Jesus arrived at the official’s home, he saw the noisy crowd and heard the funeral music. 24 “Get out!” he told them. “The girl isn’t dead; she’s only asleep.” But the crowd laughed at him. 25 After the crowd was put outside, however, Jesus went in and took the girl by the hand, and she stood up! 26 The report of this miracle swept through the entire countryside.

27 After Jesus left the girl’s home, two blind men followed along behind him, shouting, “Son of David, have mercy on us!”

28 They went right into the house where he was staying, and Jesus asked them, “Do you believe I can make you see?”

“Yes, Lord,” they told him, “we do.”

29 Then he touched their eyes and said, “Because of your faith, it will happen.” 30 Then their eyes were opened, and they could see! Jesus sternly warned them, “Don’t tell anyone about this.” 31 But instead, they went out and spread his fame all over the region.

32 When they left, a demon-possessed man who couldn’t speak was brought to Jesus. 33 So Jesus cast out the demon, and then the man began to speak. The crowds were amazed. “Nothing like this has ever happened in Israel!” they exclaimed.

34 But the Pharisees said, “He can cast out demons because he is empowered by the prince of demons.”

35 Jesus traveled through all the towns and villages of that area, teaching in the synagogues and announcing the Good News about the Kingdom. And he healed every kind of disease and illness. 36 When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them because they were confused and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. 37 He said to his disciples, “The harvest is great, but the workers are few. 38 So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields.”

Acts 5:11-16 (NLT)

11 Great fear gripped the entire church and everyone else who heard what had happened.

12 The apostles were performing many miraculous signs and wonders among the people. And all the believers were meeting regularly at the Temple in the area known as Solomon’s Colonnade. 13 But no one else dared to join them, even though all the people had high regard for them.

14 Yet more and more people believed and were brought to the Lord—crowds of both men and women. 15 As a result of the apostles’ work, sick people were brought out into the streets on beds and mats so that Peter’s shadow might fall across some of them as he went by. 16 Crowds came from the villages around Jerusalem, bringing their sick and those possessed by evil spirits, and they were all healed.

Acts 19:11-20 (NLT)

11 God gave Paul the power to perform unusual miracles. 12 When handkerchiefs or aprons that had merely touched his skin were placed on sick people, they were healed of their diseases, and evil spirits were expelled.

13 A group of Jews was traveling from town to town casting out evil spirits. They tried to use the name of the Lord Jesus in their incantation, saying, “I command you in the name of Jesus, whom Paul preaches, to come out!” 14 Seven sons of Sceva, a leading priest, were doing this. 15 But one time when they tried it, the evil spirit replied, “I know Jesus, and I know Paul, but who are you?”

16 Then the man with the evil spirit leaped on them, overpowered them, and attacked them with such violence that they fled from the house, naked and battered.

17 The story of what happened spread quickly all through Ephesus, to Jews and Greeks alike. A solemn fear descended on the city, and the name of the Lord Jesus was greatly honored. 18 Many who became believers confessed their sinful practices.

19 A number of them who had been practicing sorcery brought their incantation books and burned them at a public bonfire. The value of the books was several million dollars. 20 So the message about the Lord spread widely and had a powerful effect.

The Potential Of His Church-- Stolen

Luke 4:16-21 (NLT)

16 When he came to the village of Nazareth, his boyhood home, he went as usual to the synagogue on the Sabbath and stood up to read the Scriptures. 17 The scroll of Isaiah the prophet was handed to him. He unrolled the scroll and found the place where this was written:

18 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,
for he has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released,
    that the blind will see,
that the oppressed will be set free,
19     and that the time of the Lord’s favor has come.”

20 He rolled up the scroll, handed it back to the attendant, and sat down. All eyes in the synagogue looked at him intently. 21 Then he began to speak to them. “The Scripture you’ve just heard has been fulfilled this very day!

Luke 7:18-23 (NKJV)

18 Then the disciples of John reported to him concerning all these things. 19 And John, calling two of his disciples to him, sent them to Jesus, saying, “Are You the Coming One, or do we look for another?”

20 When the men had come to Him, they said, “John the Baptist has sent us to You, saying, ‘Are You the Coming One, or do we look for another?’” 21 And that very hour He cured many of infirmities, afflictions, and evil spirits; and to many blind He gave sight.

22 Jesus answered and said to them, “Go and tell John the things you have seen and heard: that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, the poor have the gospel preached to them. 23 And blessed is he who is not offended because of Me.”

Matthew 16:13-18 (NKJV)

13 When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, “Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?”

14 So they said, “Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”

15 He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”

16 Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”

17 Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. 18 And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.

Mark 16:14-20 (NKJV)
The Great Commission

14 Later He appeared to the eleven as they sat at the table; and He rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen Him after He had risen. 15 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

19 So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God. 20 And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen.

Acts 10:34-46 (NIV)

34 Then Peter began to speak: “I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism 35 but accepts from every nation the one who fears him and does what is right. 36 You know the message God sent to the people of Israel, announcing the good news of peace through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all.

37 You know what has happened throughout the province of Judea, beginning in Galilee after the baptism that John preached— 38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him.

39 “We are witnesses of everything he did in the country of the Jews and in Jerusalem. They killed him by hanging him on a cross, 40 but God raised him from the dead on the third day and caused him to be seen. 41 He was not seen by all the people, but by witnesses whom God had already chosen—by us who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead.

42 He commanded us to preach to the people and to testify that he is the one whom God appointed as judge of the living and the dead. 43 All the prophets testify about him that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name.”

44 While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit came on all who heard the message. 45 The circumcised believers who had come with Peter were astonished that the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out even on Gentiles. 46 For they heard them speaking in tongues and praising God.

1 Corinthians 2:1-5   (NKJV)

1 And I, brethren, when I came to you, did not come with excellence of speech or of wisdom declaring to you the testimony of God. 2 For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.

3 I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling. 4 And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human[b] wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, 5 that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.

Three Clip Playlist For Help and Hope!

Below is a Playlist of three clips that I did a while back. The clips are short, but powerful. If you or somebody you know needs Help to Hope again, please watch and share.

The Lord is The Restorer of Our Souls.

One Verse- That says so much

Let this verse settle in your heart

Psalm 106:13New Living Translation (NLT)

13 Yet how quickly they forgot what he had done!
They wouldn’t wait for his counsel!

Psalm 106:13New International Version (NIV)

13 But they soon forgot what he had done
and did not wait for his plan to unfold.

Lord Help Us!

Please catch the heart of this. The Lord will hold The Leaders of This Generation accountable for how they are responding to  the great poverty and persecution of our brethren.

There should not be one Pastor on this planet that is starving or watching his sheep die for lack of food and medicine.

Eyes sealed shut.

Acts 11:27-30New Living Translation (NLT)

27 During this time some prophets traveled from Jerusalem to Antioch. 28 One of them named Agabus stood up in one of the meetings and predicted by the Spirit that a great famine was coming upon the entire Roman world. (This was fulfilled during the reign of Claudius.)

29 So the believers in Antioch decided to send relief to the brothers and sisters[a] in Judea, everyone giving as much as they could. 30 This they did, entrusting their gifts to Barnabas and Saul to take to the elders of the church in Jerusalem.

The Simplicity Of The Gospel To Silence Chaos

Mark 16:14-20 (NKJV)

Amen.

Job 38:1-7 (NKJV)

The Lord Reveals His Omnipotence to Job

1 Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said:

2 “Who is this who darkens counsel
By words without knowledge?

3 Now prepare yourself like a man;
I will question you, and you shall answer Me.

4 “Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth?
Tell Me, if you have understanding.

5 Who determined its measurements?
Surely you know!
Or who stretched the line upon it?

6 To what were its foundations fastened?
Or who laid its cornerstone,

7 When the morning stars sang together,
And all the sons of God shouted for joy?

Gaze From The Cross

Have you ever considered what Jesus might have seen from The Cross.

Was He peering into eternity?

My spirit stirs deeply when I look at this painting, and meditate on all The Christ was seeing From The Cross!

This Gospel Of The Kingdom

Think about what Jesus was saying when He Said :

Matthew 24:14
Common English Bible

This gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the world as a testimony to all the nations. Then the end will come.

Could it be that "The Gospel", that was spread by sword and forced conversions, by destroying Native Americans and taking many other lands by force, for "The Church", was not The Gospel Jesus was taking about?

Could it be that even good churches now through out the West, and increasingly in The East, have a remnant of these false motives, for spreading "The Gospel", operating in them without knowing it?

Does gaining wealth and lands on the backs of the less fortunate in the name of The Gospel, resemble at all the example Jesus and The Apostles Gave?

Could you see Paul living in a mansion in the middle of the Poverty in Indonesia, Nigeria, South Korea, Atlanta, New York, Chicago, New Orleans?

Could you see Him in Corinth, a massive church, driving in on a chariot of gold, finely dressed, with an entourage, covered in the finest jewelry and robes?

No, however, there is hope. The Latter Rain will be greater than the former in every way. The hirelings will be exposed, the true shepherds will rise up in power, humility and love. The Gospel of The Kingdom will be preached in power and demonstration to all nations as a Testimony, then the end shall come.

1 Timothy 6:5-20New Living Translation (NLT)

5 These people always cause trouble. Their minds are corrupt, and they have turned their backs on the truth. To them, a show of godliness is just a way to become wealthy.

6 Yet true godliness with contentment is itself great wealth. 7 After all, we brought nothing with us when we came into the world, and we can’t take anything with us when we leave it. 8 So if we have enough food and clothing, let us be content.

9 But people who long to be rich fall into temptation and are trapped by many foolish and harmful desires that plunge them into ruin and destruction. 10 For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. And some people, craving money, have wandered from the true faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows.

11 But you, Timothy, are a man of God; so run from all these evil things. Pursue righteousness and a godly life, along with faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness. 12 Fight the good fight for the true faith. Hold tightly to the eternal life to which God has called you, which you have declared so well before many witnesses. 13 And I charge you before God, who gives life to all, and before Christ Jesus, who gave a good testimony before Pontius Pilate, 14 that you obey this command without wavering. Then no one can find fault with you from now until our Lord Jesus Christ comes again. 15 For,

At just the right time Christ will be revealed from heaven by the blessed and only almighty God, the King of all kings and Lord of all lords. 16 He alone can never die, and he lives in light so brilliant that no human can approach him. No human eye has ever seen him, nor ever will. All honor and power to him forever! Amen.

17 Teach those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which is so unreliable. Their trust should be in God, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment. 18 Tell them to use their money to do good. They should be rich in good works and generous to those in need, always being ready to share with others. 19 By doing this they will be storing up their treasure as a good foundation for the future so that they may experience true life.

20 Timothy, guard what God has entrusted to you. Avoid godless, foolish discussions with those who oppose you with their so-called knowledge.

Build The Fences

"Oh Build The Fence for things that are coming must be kept out. Set The Ramparts and station The Watchman. But above all, build the fence."

"Digging post holes/ setting a fence is labor intensive. We must labor in prayer. We must watch where we set our words. We must align our hearts."

"The Lord has works He longs to do through His people, but His people are to distracted to hear. They wont receive it until they have no choice!"

Nahum 2:1

Your enemy is coming to crush you, Nineveh. Man the ramparts! Watch the roads! Prepare your defenses! Call out your forces!

Habakkuk 2:1

I will stand my watch And set myself on the rampart, And watch to see what He will say to me, And what I will answer when I am corrected.

Isaiah 21:6

Meanwhile, the Lord said to me,
“Put a watchman on the city wall.
Let him shout out what he sees.

The Walls

From inside the walls and outside the walls
There is raising up a shout
The voice of The LORDS Redeemed
Shouting let the captives out!

From inside the walls and outside the walls
A song is being sung
Gods chosen, singing in The Spirit
Singing The Time of freedom has come!

From inside the walls and outside the walls
The Word is being declared
Gods kings and priest on the earth
Taking authority, over the prince of the air

From inside the walls and outside the walls
Victory is being revealed
The elect of The LORD
HAVE BEEN CHOSEN,SAVED AND SEALED!

FROM INSIDE THE WALLS AND OUTSIDE THE WALLS
A NEW NATION HAS BEEN BIRTHED
AND HER CITIZENS ARE SHOUTING
JESUS IS LORD OVER ALL THE EARTH!

Take Knee Soldier!

(This post is a mix of an old post on this blog, a Facebook post I did the other day, and a Painting that brought them together)

I watched a movie the other day that kind of bombed in The Box Office, but I liked a lot. It has some really great examples of how we can be led by The Holy Spirit and what to do when we seem to be under siege of the enemy and circumstances.

The Movie was "After Earth". I highly suggest it for every prayer warrior and person of faith. I don't want to give too much away for those who have not seen it, but I do feel led to mention two main aspects of the movie that we can use in our walk and our battles of faith.

One is how the main Character explains FEAR. How fear is an irrational thought of a future event that may or may not happen. That fear is a choice. Danger may be very real, but fear is a choice.

He teaches the one he is watching over to be in the moment, not to think about what is ahead, or what may happen, but to know his surroundings now, and that takes me to the next, and most important thing we can learn from this movie:

Take a Knee.

He tells the one, he is watching over, that when he is getting scared, when danger seems to be overcoming him, when emotions are winning out, to Take A Knee, calm down, take an inventory of himself.

He asks him:
Is he injured?
What tools and weapons does he have at his disposal?
What are his immediate surroundings?

What mistakes would be avoided, what would we have not run from. In one part of the movie as the main character is watching his son run from something, he has to yell at him to "Take A Knee".
He yells "You are running from NOTHING, There is NOTHING chasing you! Take A Knee!"

I shared the picture because it struck my heart when I saw it. This picture brings back some powerful memories of a period of time in my life that I seemed gripped by a battle, and a spirit of prayer for a long period of time.

I can remember marching around my old workplace, all night long, in the driving snow, praying fervently. Sometimes I walked back and forth or stood on a hill there weeping and praying. One night I knelt in the snow next to the dumpster and consecrated myself to Gods Plan.

I took a knee

The months and seasons passed with no change, winter came around again and again, marching, praying, seeking, declaring. There were enemies that would come against me in many different ways and forms, trying to get me to give up and tempt me to stumble.

I knelt many times over those years in exhaustion of spirit and soul. I would kneel down, take a knee, wherever I could be alone for just a few minutes, whether it was in the maintenance room, in the housekeeping room, next to carts and dumpsters.

I had to take a knee, time and time again, to refocus, consecrate myself to God, and take an inventory of all He had done and was doing.

Tired from the battle, the choice was always the same: Give up and return to sin, or consecrate myself once again to Gods Plan.

Along with Intercessory Prayer, The Prayer of Consecration has been a lifeline between my soul and The Lord many times in my life since I was a child.

So?

TAKE A KNEE SOLDIER!!

You are a Kneeling Warrior!   (The link to the left is to a book I highly recommend titled The Kneeling Warrior(Winning Your Battles Through Prayer)

James 5 - Prophecy Unfolding

James 5 contains a prophecy of the conditions we are seeing right now.

This nation never really repented of atrocities of slavery and the Jim Crow era. We have been reaping the harvest ever since. Unfortunately so have the very people that great evil targeted.

You can argue one point or the other all you want. There are great spiritual forces at work in racial hatred and division. The business leaders of this nation refuse to listen, the church leaders of this nation refuse to see, so the only thing left is to reap the harvest that has been sown.

This nations financial system never repented from slavery, it just exported it, shipped it over where there are no laws against child labor, slave labor, and working conditions that cause men and women to jump to their deaths, while we celebrate the companies that make these decisions.

We as a nation give the title of "Most Favored Nation" to a nation that persecutes minorities, religions and has little to no labor laws.

We call those, who pick our crops now for low wages and no benefits, "illegal aliens", and when they want to take part in our liberties and benefits here, we call them names, and yell to deport them.

The employers that employ them reap huge profits, we eat cheap goods, while they work their hands and backs all day, every day, during harvest season. Yet,  we don't want them eating at our table or to enjoy the benefits of that harvest.

THAT IS SLAVERY.

Men, women and children sitting on heaps of E-Waste, poisoning themselves and the water trying to survive, while western companies make millions on dumping it there, is a great evil.

Like it or not, the warning in James 5 is upon us

Get on your knees and pray!

As we reap the the harvest, and we see the suffering, there is encouragement for those who are The Lords.

James 5:1-12 (NIV)

1 Now listen, you rich people, weep and wail because of the misery that is coming on you. 2 Your wealth has rotted, and moths have eaten your clothes. 3 Your gold and silver are corroded. Their corrosion will testify against you and eat your flesh like fire. You have hoarded wealth in the last days.

4 Look! The wages you failed to pay the workers who mowed your fields are crying out against you. The cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord Almighty. 5 You have lived on earth in luxury and self-indulgence. You have fattened yourselves in the day of slaughter. 6 You have condemned and murdered the innocent one, who was not opposing you.

7 Be patient, then, brothers and sisters, until the Lord’s coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop, patiently waiting for the autumn and spring rains. 8 You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord’s coming is near. 9 Don’t grumble against one another, brothers and sisters, or you will be judged. The Judge is standing at the door!

10 Brothers and sisters, as an example of patience in the face of suffering, take the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord. 11 As you know, we count as blessed those who have persevered. You have heard of Job’s perseverance and have seen what the Lord finally brought about. The Lord is full of compassion and mercy.

12 Above all, my brothers and sisters, do not swear—not by heaven or by earth or by anything else. All you need to say is a simple “Yes” or “No.” Otherwise you will be condemned.

The Art of Self Denial

There is an art of self denial, for service to The Lord, that goes beyond dying to self and overcoming the flesh. There may be things that you absolutely have a right to want and expect, that you will have to deny yourself of in order to serve The Lord to your fullest potential.

It isn't a science, meaning strict rules and parameters, but an art, learning to use the unique gifts and spiritual talents The Lord has given us, to deny ourselves and serve Him powerfully and in a way no one else can.

You are made uniquely glorious in Him. A New Creation, like nothing that this world has ever seen. So don't fret over what you may have to offer up as a sacrifice to Him, rejoice that He always responds to that sacrifice with new vision and ability.

Only the Master Creator of all things knows fully what He is creating in this world and what part you play in the Master Design He created before the foundations of the world.

He is the only Creator that paid all to have a personal relationship with His Creation. He stepped into His creation, became one with His creation, shed His Blood for His creation, was crucified for His creation and defeated death for His Creation.

The art of self denial is simply learning to flow with His brush and live by His Spirit. Not in a white knuckle way of denying the pulls of the flesh and life, but simply joining The Lord in His plan to reveal to The World, seen and unseen, His Glory, His Love, His Power and His Sons and Daughters.

Thank You LORD! For Loving us before we ever loved you!!

He Is LORD! He IS King!! He Bows To No Man!

I do not use this blog to talk about politics. However lately there has been a prophetic stirring in me about the leaders of not only this nation, but the nations of The World.

We must remember that The Lord is no respecter of persons. He does not choose sides. In a nation where the media and our government has set it up so that the masses will choose sides between the two political parties, we sometimes think The Lord is on "our side".

The Lord has nothing to do with the political machine man has created. He is LORD over all the earth. Government is one of His Social Graces, but we must not mistake that, with The King of Kings being political in any way, or assume that He is on one side or the other.

The one thing that marks The Last Days, even in The Letters to The Churches is that no one escapes His gaze and grasp. He will have a word of correction, and for those who are not His, judgement for many. His correction and judgement are perfectly JUST and totally Righteous.

I always try and consider why The Lord is having me write something, why is He showing this or that to me. Sometimes it is like pieces of a puzzle.(See my puzzle post on my prayer page).

I get a sense that there are many in The Church, and many more who think they are IN the church, that are going to be offended at some of the things that The Lord will say through His Prophets and do in the earth in the days ahead.

Remember when John The Baptist asked Jesus if He was The One? What was the last thing Jesus said?

"Blessed are those who are not offended because of me"

Below are some scriptures that have been highlighted to me over the past few weeks. Look them up, read them and meditate on them. Let The Holy Spirit speak to your heart.

Also below I posted a video. Many of you will have seen it before, but watch it again AFTER you take the time to mediate on some of the things I have said here, and more importantly, all the scriptures below. No cheating.

Joshua 5:13-15 (NLT)

13 When Joshua was near the town of Jericho, he looked up and saw a man standing in front of him with sword in hand. Joshua went up to him and demanded, “Are you friend or foe?”

14 “Neither one,” he replied. “I am the commander of the Lord’s army.”

At this, Joshua fell with his face to the ground in reverence. “I am at your command,” Joshua said. “What do you want your servant to do?”

15 The commander of the Lord’s army replied, “Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy.” And Joshua did as he was told.

Psalm 10:16-18 (AMP)

16 The Lord is King forever and ever; the nations will perish out of His land.
17 O Lord, You have heard the desire and the longing of the humble and oppressed; You will prepare and strengthen and direct their hearts, You will cause Your ear to hear,
18 To do justice to the fatherless and the oppressed, so that man, who is of the earth, may not terrify them any more.

Luke 13:1-5 (NLT)

A Call to Repentance

1 About this time Jesus was informed that Pilate had murdered some people from Galilee as they were offering sacrifices at the Temple. 2 “Do you think those Galileans were worse sinners than all the other people from Galilee?” Jesus asked. “Is that why they suffered? 3 Not at all! And you will perish, too, unless you repent of your sins and turn to God. 4 And what about the eighteen people who died when the tower in Siloam fell on them? Were they the worst sinners in Jerusalem? 5 No, and I tell you again that unless you repent, you will perish, too.”

Luke 7:20-23 (NLT)

20 John’s two disciples found Jesus and said to him, “John the Baptist sent us to ask, ‘Are you the Messiah we’ve been expecting, or should we keep looking for someone else?’”

21 At that very time, Jesus cured many people of their diseases, illnesses, and evil spirits, and he restored sight to many who were blind. 22 Then he told John’s disciples, “Go back to John and tell him what you have seen and heard—the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cured, the deaf hear, the dead are raised to life, and the Good News is being preached to the poor. 23 And tell him, ‘God blesses those who do not turn away because of me.

Luke 11:45-52 (NLT)

45 “Teacher,” said an expert in religious law, “you have insulted us, too, in what you just said.”

46 “Yes,” said Jesus, “what sorrow also awaits you experts in religious law! For you crush people with unbearable religious demands, and you never lift a finger to ease the burden.47 What sorrow awaits you! For you build monuments for the prophets your own ancestors killed long ago. 48 But in fact, you stand as witnesses who agree with what your ancestors did. They killed the prophets, and you join in their crime by building the monuments!49 This is what God in his wisdom said about you:[a] ‘I will send prophets and apostles to them, but they will kill some and persecute the others.’

50 “As a result, this generation will be held responsible for the murder of all God’s prophets from the creation of the world— 51 from the murder of Abel to the murder of Zechariah, who was killed between the altar and the sanctuary. Yes, it will certainly be charged against this generation.

52 “What sorrow awaits you experts in religious law! For you remove the key to knowledge from the people. You don’t enter the Kingdom yourselves, and you prevent others from entering.”

As you read this last set of verses, consider the fact that this time and days are upon us and will unfold until the Glorious Day of verse 23:

Isaiah 24  (NLT)

1 Look! The Lord is about to destroy the earth
and make it a vast wasteland.
He devastates the surface of the earth
    and scatters the people.
2 Priests and laypeople,
    servants and masters,
    maids and mistresses,
    buyers and sellers,
    lenders and borrowers,
bankers and debtors—none will be spared.
3 The earth will be completely emptied and looted.
    The Lord has spoken!
4 The earth mourns and dries up,
and the land wastes away and withers.
Even the greatest people on earth waste away.
5 The earth suffers for the sins of its people,
for they have twisted God’s instructions,
violated his laws,
    and broken his everlasting covenant.
6 Therefore, a curse consumes the earth.
Its people must pay the price for their sin.
They are destroyed by fire,
and only a few are left alive.
7 The grapevines waste away,
and there is no new wine.
All the merrymakers sigh and mourn.
8 The cheerful sound of tambourines is stilled;
the happy cries of celebration are heard no more.
The melodious chords of the harp are silent.
9 Gone are the joys of wine and song;
alcoholic drink turns bitter in the mouth.
10 The city writhes in chaos;
every home is locked to keep out intruders.
11 Mobs gather in the streets, crying out for wine.
    Joy has turned to gloom.
Gladness has been banished from the land.
12 The city is left in ruins,
    its gates battered down.
13 Throughout the earth the story is the same—
    only a remnant is left,
like the stray olives left on the tree
or the few grapes left on the vine after harvest.
14 But all who are left shout and sing for joy.
Those in the west praise the Lord’s majesty.
15 In eastern lands, give glory to the Lord.
In the lands beyond the sea, praise the name of the Lord, the God of Israel.
16 We hear songs of praise from the ends of the earth,
songs that give glory to the Righteous One!
But my heart is heavy with grief.
Weep for me, for I wither away.
Deceit still prevails,
    and treachery is everywhere.
17 Terror and traps and snares will be your lot,
    you people of the earth.
18 Those who flee in terror will fall into a trap,
and those who escape the trap will be caught in a snare.
Destruction falls like rain from the heavens;
the foundations of the earth shake.
19 The earth has broken up.
    It has utterly collapsed;
    it is violently shaken.
20 The earth staggers like a drunk.
It trembles like a tent in a storm.
It falls and will not rise again,
for the guilt of its rebellion is very heavy.
21 In that day the Lord will punish the gods in the heavens
and the proud rulers of the nations on earth.
22 They will be rounded up and put in prison.
They will be shut up in prison
    and will finally be punished.
23 Then the glory of the moon will wane,
and the brightness of the sun will fade,
for the Lord of Heaven’s Armies will rule on Mount Zion.
He will rule in great glory in Jerusalem,
in the sight of all the leaders of his people.

Stand Your Ground

The Lord placed a flaming sword to keep man from re-entering the garden and eating from the tree of eternal life, until their seed crushed the head of His enemy.

Moses held his arms toward Heaven, until the battle was won, as long as he kept his arms stretched forth, Israel prevailed!

Joshua Stretched forth his javelin until the enemies of Gods people were destroyed!

Elijah prayed on his face until the cloud formed and an abundance of rain was heard in the spirit.

Davids Mighty Men stood their ground in the fields and remained there until all Israels enemies were defeated. One mighty warriors hand cleaved to his sword.

Jesus looked forth to the Joy that was before Him,until The Victory Of The Cross was won!

Jesus is seated at The Right hand of God,making intercession for us, until all His enemies are made His footstool. We join Him in this battle every time we take up the mantle of intercessory prayer for His Church.

Intercession, at times, is like the examples The Lord has given us in His Word, of standing in a place of God given authority and power, while the battle and time passes, not moving until we see His Will done on earth as it is in heaven.

We will not always know what we are praying for or even how we ought to pray. There will be times that we yield to distractions and have to regain our footing, and take our stand once again.

We may feel the yearnings and groanings of creation crying from within us. We may see the horrors of the battle and the joys of victory, but we must stand in our place, and move forward in the spirit, in the power and authority of The Lord.

Jesus is The Commander of Heavens Armies and His Commission is still to accomplish The Fathers Will.

Consider His answer to Joshua and  these verses from Romans Chapter 8 as you meditate on the things shared above.

Joshua 5:13-14 (AMP)

When Joshua was by Jericho, he looked up, and behold, a Man stood near him with His drawn sword in His hand. And Joshua went to Him and said to Him, Are you for us or for our adversaries?

And He said, No [neither], but as Prince of the Lord’s host have I now come. And Joshua fell on his face to the earth and worshiped, and said to Him, What says my Lord to His servant?

Romans 8:18-30 (AMP)

18 [But what of that?] For I consider that the sufferings of this present time (this present life) are not worth being compared with the glory that is about to be revealed to us and in us and for us and conferred on us!
19 For [even the whole] creation (all nature) waits expectantly and longs earnestly for God’s sons to be made known [waits for the revealing, the disclosing of their sonship].
20 For the creation (nature) was subjected to frailty (to futility, condemned to frustration), not because of some intentional fault on its part, but by the will of Him Who so subjected it—[yet] with the hope
21 That nature (creation) itself will be set free from its bondage to decay and corruption [and gain an entrance] into the glorious freedom of God’s children.
22 We know that the whole creation [of irrational creatures] has been moaning together in the pains of labor until now.
23 And not only the creation, but we ourselves too, who have and enjoy the firstfruits of the [Holy] Spirit [a foretaste of the blissful things to come] groan inwardly as we wait for the redemption of our bodies [from sensuality and the grave, which will reveal] our adoption (our manifestation as God’s sons).
24 For in [this] hope we were saved. But hope [the object of] which is seen is not hope. For how can one hope for what he already sees?
25 But if we hope for what is still unseen by us, we wait for it with patience and composure.
26 So too the [Holy] Spirit comes to our aid and bears us up in our weakness; for we do not know what prayer to offer nor how to offer it worthily as we ought, but the Spirit Himself goes to meet our supplication and pleads in our behalf with unspeakable yearnings and groanings too deep for utterance.
27 And He Who searches the hearts of men knows what is in the mind of the [Holy] Spirit [what His intent is], because the Spirit intercedes and pleads [before God] in behalf of the saints according to and in harmony with God’s will.
28 We are assured and know that [God being a partner in their labor] all things work together and are [fitting into a plan] for good to and for those who love God and are called according to [His] design and purpose.
29 For those whom He foreknew [of whom He was aware and loved beforehand], He also destined from the beginning [foreordaining them] to be molded into the image of His Son [and share inwardly His likeness], that He might become the firstborn among many brethren.
30 And those whom He thus foreordained, He also called; and those whom He called, He also justified (acquitted, made righteous, putting them into right standing with Himself). And those whom He justified, He also glorified [raising them to a heavenly dignity and condition or state of being].
